Biography

Prof. Jamal Bentahar received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering) from Laval University, Canada, in 2005. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Laval University, and then NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Simon Fraser University, Canada. 

Dr. Jamal Bentahar was invited speaker in EMAS@AAMAS 2019, FiCloud 2021, and Trust 2019 (panelist). He is the General Chair of the Int. Conference on Deep Learning, Big Data and Blockchain, 2023. He was Program Co-Chair of many conferences such as the Int. Conference on Deep Learning, Big Data and Blockchain, 2022; the Int. Conference on Emerging Data and Industry 4.0, 2022; the Int. Conference on Mobile Web and Intelligent Information Systems, 2019-2021; the Int. Conference on Service Oriented Computing, 2019; and the Int. Conference on Mobile Systems and Pervasive Computing, 2019. He was the Local Chair of the Int. Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, 2019 and Area Chair of the Int. Conference on Principles and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems, 2017. He is in the Editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing; Journal of Smart Environments and Green Computing; Service Oriented Computing and Applications; and Applied Intelligence. He was Co-chair of the NSERC 1507 Evaluation Group (Computer Science), 2016-2018. He is in the Program Committee of many leading conferences such as AAMAS, IJCAI, AAAI, ICWS, SCC, and ICSOC.
