Resident Life

University Residences offer an environment in which students from different parts of the country and from international destinations have the chance to meet and learn from one another.

The University offers separate residential quarters for male and female students:

+ Undergraduate Residences

(a) male-only, residing at Al Rawda Residence
(b) female-only, residing at KU Residence Halls and Umm Al Lulu Complex.

+ Postgraduate Residences

(a) male-only, residing at Al Rawda Residence and Masdar City Residences
(b) female-only, residing at Umm Al Lulu Complex and Masdar City Residences

KU student housing consists of single and double-shared furnished apartment-style buildings, varying in their capacity between rooms.聽

All housing facilities are monitored 24/7 with CCTV cameras and security teams.

Eligibility

+ Undergraduate

Student housing (subject to availability) is available to international students and students residing outside the city of Abu Dhabi.
Students will be assigned to a double shared accommodation by default
Accommodation fees apply per semester if the student wishes to stay in a single room, based on availability.

+ Postgraduate

Postgraduate student housing (subject to availability) is available to full-time registered medical, master’s, and PhD international students and students residing outside the city of Abu Dhabi. Residences can also be offered to international visiting/exchange students and summer interns.
A rental fee (where applicable) applies per semester and will be deducted from the monthly stipend.

+ Residence Rooms

Bedrooms are furnished with a bed, one side table, a side lamp, a study desk, chairs, and a wardrobe for each student.

Cooking is allowed only in resident units equipped with kitchen and cooking appliances.
A fully equipped laundry room with a washer and dryer is available

A clinic is available to provide basic first-aid treatment.

Resident Assistant (RA) Program

Khalifa University RA Program aims to focus on livening up the residences, working with the Residence Life team, Student Life and, the Student Council to create meaningful activities in the residences, and act as a liaison between residents and the Resident Life administration.聽

Living on campus the RA serves as a positive role model to residents and peer staff members.

Living and Learning Experience

Khalifa University Residences provides the opportunity to make connections with peers, become familiar with the KU community, and share common interests through programs that cater to their academic, social, and personal growth.聽

Students living on campus can study in an academically supported environment to continue the academic experience based on their programs.聽 Through the Resident Assistant (RA) program, students will enjoy an atmosphere that will promote the educational, social, cultural, and personal development of residents.聽 Students will also be able to participate in various dedicated events and activities that will establish interpersonal relationships, and build leadership skills and social responsibility, including the ethical commitment to oneself and the community.
