World Animal Day
Description:
The objective of the World Animal Day event by the Sustainability Club is to educate university students on the importance of animal welfare and conservation, highlighting the often-overlooked aspects of sustainability beyond just plant life. The event aims to inspire students to take active roles in protecting wildlife and promote a more comprehensive approach to sustainability that includes the well-being of all living beings.

For our World Animal Day event, the Sustainability Club is excited to host a guest speaker or panel discussion featuring a specialist in biodiversity and potentially an expert on animals or a representative from a zoo. In addition, we will have educational booths providing information about animals, along with fascinating statistics from the UAE and around the world.

Movie Screening
Description:
The Sustainability Club proposes a dual-focused event featuring the screening of documentaries from the Trees & Seas Film Festival by Plastic Ocean and a training session for the Plant-for-the-Planet initiative. The film screening will highlight the harmful effects of plastic pollution on our oceans, followed by panel discussions and quizzes to engage students actively. The event will also include workshops designed to inspire and educate students on climate action and sustainability, equipping them with the tools to lead environmental change in their communities.
