• What is your current position?

I am currently a Product and Application Engineer at Alfa Laval.

• Why is a KU Alumni Association important?

It is a way to offer networking opportunities for students and graduates, it also promotes the idea of connecting the graduates to the university.

• What motivated you to run for a position in the alumni association?

As a graduate of Khalifa University, I am eager to become actively engaged as a means of giving back to the university. I aim to contribute my skills and initiative to generate ideas that will have a positive and lasting impact on the alumni association.

• What specific goals or initiatives do you hope to accomplish during your tenure?

I hope I can successfully promote the cultural and academic initiatives organized by the university to the alumni, thereby becoming a means to help graduates stay connected with alumni affairs and events.

• How do you plan to foster stronger connections between alumni and current students?

By creating regular networking events, meetups, and team-building activities between students and alumni, they can engage with each other, share their experiences, and have a little bit of fun. 聽

• What experiences or skills do you bring to the alumni association that you believe will be valuable in your role?

As an event planner, I have developed excellent planning and coordinating skills that complement my initiative in bringing fresh and advanced ideas to contribute to the growth of the alumni association and the university. Additionally, my strong communication skills have allowed me to build several good relationships with fellow alumni, which will support my goals in creating connections with them.

• How do you envision the alumni association contributing to the overall growth and development of the university?

The Alumni association will set a great example for building strong relations and connections between students and alumni, motivating them to give back to the university. It will also guide alumni and students with their professional careers, encouraging them to work hard and serve as positive representatives of the university.

• Anything else would you like to add? (Tips for existing students, something about the University, etc..)

Khalifa University is a great platform for students and graduates to start their careers. However, some people find it difficult to maintain professional connections in the long term. So, I hope that the alumni association council will have a positive impact on the graduates’ professional lives by helping them build their network, guiding them with their career paths, and ultimately preparing the students for their next steps in their professional journey.
