Khalifa University’s annual Experiential Learning Symposium is sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) to showcase KU students’ experiential learning experiences. The Symposium provides students an opportunity to reflect on and share their experiences with their peers.
It is a transformative experience that occurs when students take ideas and concepts learned in the classroom and apply them in real-world settings.
It encompasses activities such as internships, volunteering, study abroad
programs, fieldwork, and more.
Students who engage in experiential learning activities and reflect on them can better retain knowledge and apply it in new contexts. They also become better critical and creative thinkers.
The Experiential Learning Program at KU underscores the university’s
commitment to fostering community service-oriented, ambitious, and talented critical thinkers
The symposium aims to evoke conversations about the different experiential learning opportunities that university students have participated in.
It allows those who have had a chance to pursue experiential learning to share how it has enhanced their personality and academic journey.
Please consider experiences that have inspired you, made a difference in your life, or changed how you feel or think about your learning.
Participants can celebrate their experiential learning achievements and critically reflect on their experiences.
Participants will support their fellow students and help raise awareness about the value of experiential learning in the university community.
Participants have the opportunity to become one of the three winning teams.
