Program Overview
A comprehensive mentorship program, established across the CMHS departments, provides students with the essential skills needed for academic and professional success. This program offers tailored guidance, encouraging students to pursue graduate studies (MSc and PhD) while nurturing their growth in the health sciences fields.

- Facilitating connections between mentees and experienced mentors in their field to foster collaboration and professional development.
- Providing academic and career guidance to assist mentees in pursuing advanced studies in master’s and PhD programs.
- Offering support in choosing suitable programs, preparing applications, and fulfilling admission requirements for master’s and PhD programs.
- Providing a platform where mentees can apply their knowledge creatively, engage in projects, and offer innovative contributions to ongoing research.
- Encouraging and helping mentees to develop research, critical thinking, and other key skills essential for professional success.

Program Timeframe
Applications are open from 1st of Jan to 25th of Jan, followed by a selection period where mentors and mentees are carefully matched. The program officially begins with an orientation session, setting the stage for regular mentorship meetings and workshops throughout the semester. A mid-program assessment allows mentors and mentees to assess progress and adjust goals as needed. The program concludes with final presentations and a closing ceremony, celebrating the achievements and growth of all participants.

Program Format
- 1-on-1 Mentoring Sessions: Mentors and mentees will connect primarily through one-on-one sessions, fostering personalized guidance and development. In-person meetings are encouraged for stronger engagement, though online sessions can be arranged based on mutual convenience.
- Flexible Meeting Structure:Â While mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet frequently, the schedule remains adaptable to accommodate their relationship and availability. Mini-meetings are highly recommended to maintain momentum but can be scheduled flexibly.
- Regular Evaluations:Â There will be two formal evaluations each year (every 6 months) to ensure that goals are being met and to offer structured feedback.
- Semesterly Check-ins:Â Each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer), a major planning and assessment meeting is required to review progress and set new objectives. These will serve as milestones to track development and keep the mentorship on track.
