PROJECTS AND GRANTS
Novel modeling approach for the transport of aggregating nanoparticles in porous media
This project aim is to develop a novel mathematical model that describes the migration of aggregating nanoparticles in porous media.
The model accounts for:
- Linear and non linear particle attachment onto the porous media
- Two site reversible and irreversible particle attachment
- Ripening, blocking and straining processes
- Particle aggregation, dispersion and advection

Modeling the Water Quality of the Arabian Gulf from Space
This project aim is to develop a novel remote sensing based model to estimate the water quality parameters using satellite data.
The model accounts for:
- The sensitivity of the water constituents on the reflectance spectral signature.
- The effect of bottom reflectance.
- The effect of atmospheric composition of aerosols and dust particles.

Marine Environment Monitoring for Barakah NPP
This project aim is to develop a novel remote sensing based model to detect corals health and type:
The model accounts for:
- The hyperspectral signatures of corals.
- The effect of bottom reflectance.
- The effect of atmospheric composition of aerosols and dust particles.
- Intensive field trips are conducted.
