Rashid’s Biography:Ìý
Rashid is a Chemical Engineering student at Khalifa University, minoring in Renewable & Sustainable Energy. He has been actively involved in sustainability initiatives, including the Young Future Energy Leaders Program 2025 and the TAQA Junior Sustainability Program 2024, where he gained hands-on experience in energy technologies to support the UAE’s net-zero 2050 goals.
Beyond engineering, Rashid is passionate about cultural engagement and education. As a participant in the Ibn Al-Dar Program 2025, he trained in cultural tour guidance and now works part-time at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, sharing the UAE’s heritage with global visitors. He also contributed academically through the Peer Tutoring Program, by assisting students in Thermodynamics, Materials Science, Psychology and other subjects.
A dedicated reader, Rashid finds inspiration in literature, particularly in works that explore resilience, justice, and human nature values that also drive his personal and academic pursuits. His achievements extend to sports, having won a gold medal in Jiu-Jitsu at Parc Olympique Montréal in 2024, showcasing his discipline. His academic excellence earned him recognition as one of the UAE’s top students (2019-2020), featured in Al Bayan, Emarat Al Youm, and other newspapers.
With a deep appreciation for knowledge, storytelling, and continuous learning, Rashid is committed to making a meaningful impact through both science and culture.
