Ahmed Rehan is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Electrical Engineering Department at Khalifa University, specializing in control theory with applications in industrial and robotics systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Robotics Engineering and has teaching experience in FPGA, Digital Logic, and Control Systems labs. In addition to his research, Ahmed has worked in intellectual property management, focusing on patentability assessments and innovation commercialization. His publications in leading journals and conferences highlight significant contributions in Sliding Mode Control, Autotuning,relay control systems, etc.
Currently Ahmed Rehan is involved in following projects:
Project 1: Reinforcement Learning for UAV Control Tuning: Using reinforcement learning algorithms for developing auto-tuning framework with application to UAV systems.
Project 2: Autotuning Methods for Marine Robotics: Control tuning algorithms for marine robotics systems, including BlueROV2, with ROS integration.
Project 3: Analysis of Sliding Mode Control Systems: Application of LPRS and DFA in analyzing chattering phenomena in sliding mode control.
