Biography

Ahsan Baidar Bakht is a skilled computer vision researcher with a strong focus on deep learning and generative AI. His work primarily involves developing innovative algorithms and architectures for challenging environments, such as underwater image enhancement and autonomous navigation in extreme marine conditions.

Ahsan holds an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Khalifa University, where he specialized in machine learning algorithms for medical image analysis. His research during this period led to significant contributions in colorectal cancer tissue classification and thyroid nodule cell classification, utilizing cutting-edge deep learning models. Prior to his master's degree, Ahsan completed his BS in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, where he graduated with distinction.

In addition to his academic achievements, Ahsan has contributed to the field through various publications in top-tier journals and conferences, including the development of a GAN-based architecture for underwater image enhancement and a deep feature-based broad learning system for tissue phenotyping in colorectal cancer WSIs. 

Ahsan's technical expertise spans a wide range of areas, including computer vision, image enhancement, feature visualization, and vision-based navigation. He is proficient in Python, C++, Matlab, and various machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and OpenCV. His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing the state-of-the-art in machine learning and its applications across diverse domains.
