Dr. Daniel Bahamon obtained his Ph.D. in environmental science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2015) under the supervision of Prof. Lourdes F. Vega. He has worked as a researcher at MATGAS Research Center in Barcelona, Centre of Excellence on CO2 and Sustainability, and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the University of Barcelona. He is currently a senior research scientist at the Research and Innovation Center on CO2 and Hydrogen (RICH Center) and the Research and Innovation Center on Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D) at Khalifa University. His research focuses on the design and evaluation of novel 2D materials and 3D porous materials through DFT, molecular simulations, and multiscale techniques for application in gas adsorption, catalysis, and separation processes, focused on CO2, hydrogen, and water.
