Dr. Halima Alnaqbi holds a PhD in engineering from Khalifa University and an MSc in biomedicine sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research centers on human genetics, immunogenetics, and multi-omics, with a particular focus on genetic predisposition to immune-related diseases and cancer. Dr. Alnaqbi’s work has contributed to bridging knowledge gaps in genomics and immunogenetics, particularly in histocompatibility for organ transplantation in UAE patients. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in collaboration with KU Leuven in Belgium, where she investigated novel drug targets for diabetic complications and cancer immunotherapy.
