Dr. Israr is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), France in 2018. Prior to joining Khalifa University of Science and Technology, he has served as an Assistant Professor for a duration of three years in School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences (SINES) at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Israr has also an industrial experience of six years working in the aerospace sector as a Design Engineer.
Dr. Israr is actively involved in various research projects that are mainly related to the design, development, and analysis of aerospace structures and materials. The most important projects include the development of self-sensing aero-structures, smart foldable deployable structures, virtual characterization of composites, 4D printing and the development of novel constitutive models for composite materials.
