Biography

Kotb B. Tawfiq received a Ph.D. in electromechanical engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2022. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University, Egypt, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He is currently a Research Scientist at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is an assistant professor on leave at the Faculty of Engineering, Menoufia University, Egypt, and a Post-Doctoral Researcher on leave with Ghent University, Belgium. His main field of interest includes power electronics, matrix converters, renewable energy, electrical machines drive, design, and control of electrical machines.  He serves as a reviewer in several journals and conferences including IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications, IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, IEEE journal of emerging and selected topic in power electronic etc. He serves also as a guest editor in special issues in Electronics, Mathematics and Machines journals.
