I got my B.Sc.in Applied Mathematics at Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela.
I worked at University Metropolitana for four years where I was involved with teaching Calculus I, Calculus II ,Calculus III and Differential Equations to engineering students.
After those four years, I went to the USA where I got a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics focused in Operations Research and Computer Science, at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was a teaching assistant while pursuing my masters.
Afterwards, I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I completed all the required courses toward a Ph.D. in the areas of Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis. Then I got married and spent the following four years in France.
I have been in UAE since 1991 raising a family and away from work until 2008 when I joined The Petroleum Institute, an institution that later merged with Khalifa University.
At the beginning I was involved with Foundation Courses and later was assigned to teach Calculus to Freshmen and Sophomore students.
Currently, I teach Calculus III.
