Dr. Mohammad Alsharid, a Rhodes Scholar, completed his DPhil (Oxon) in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford in 2022. He then served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Khalifa University and an on-site visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. His research expertise spans machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with a particular focus on their applications in biomedical image analysis, specifically fetal ultrasound. He also holds a BSc in Computer Engineering with highest honors from Khalifa University of Science and Technology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Alsharid has gained varied experience through internships at renowned institutions such as the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System in Washington DC, Samsung Electronics in Suwon, South Korea, and the Mohammad Bin Rashed Space Center in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Alsharid has contributed to the academic community through his research and received accolades such as the Best Presentation Award at the ASMUS workshop of the MICCAI conference.
