Prof. Panos Liatsis is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Khalifa University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining Khalifa University, he was Department Chair and Professor at the Petroleum Institute, Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Professor at City, University of London, and faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Manchester.
Dr Liatsis’ research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision, with applications in biomedical image and signal processing, robotics, and intelligent transportation systems. He published over 350 research contributions in high-impact factor journals, books and international conference proceedings.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a member of the UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Peer Review College.
