Dr. Suhail K. Siddique is a distinguished researcher in the field of Chemical Engineering, with a specialization in the design and fabrication of nanonetwork materials. He earned his Ph.D. from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in January 2022, where he completed his thesis titled "Well-Ordered Nanonetwork Materials from Block Copolymer Templates for Mechanical Metamaterials" under the guidance of Professor Rong-Ming Ho. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Siddique continued to contribute to cutting-edge research as a post-doctoral research fellow in National Tsing Hua University.
Dr. Siddique's academic journey is marked by his deep interest and extensive experience in developing nanonetwork materials through block copolymer self-assembly, specifically tailored for mechanical metamaterials. His research delves into the fabrication of nanohybrids and nanoporous materials, utilizing block copolymers as templates to create intricate nanostructures such as cylinders, helixes, gyroids, and diamonds. These structures are then employed to produce high-performance mechanical metamaterials through processes like sol-gel reactions, electroless plating, and templated polymerization.
Currently, Dr Siddique is working as a post-doc at Khalifa University, UAE. He is expanding his research horizon by focusing on fabricating nanonetwork polymers and polymer-derived ceramics with 2D materials for multifunctional properties.
