Overview
Khalifa University’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program is a regionally tailored, research-driven graduate program designed to address the evolving public health challenges of the UAE and the wider MENA region. With a curriculum that integrates local health priorities, cultural and ethical considerations, and global best practices, students gain interdisciplinary expertise across medical sciences, environmental health, and public policy. The program offers hands-on experience through partnerships with leading public health authorities, access to cutting-edge research, and opportunities for real-world application. Graduates are equipped with leadership, communication, and evidence-based research skills to impact public health practice, policy, and academia. Designed for future leaders, the program also offers a seamless pathway to PhD studies, preparing graduates to shape the region’s health landscape.

Program Educational Objectives
The Program Educational Objectives for the Master of Public Health are:
- PEO1 To cultivate critical inquiry and advocacy skills that empower graduates to effectively evaluate and design public health policies, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse populations.
- PEO 2 To integrate systems thinking approaches in public health training, preparing graduates to analyze complex health challenges and foster collaboration across sectors for comprehensive solutions.
- PEO 3 To instill leadership and communication abilities in graduates, enabling them to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to tackle public health issues and promote health equity.
- PEO 4 To enhance the public health workforce by fostering collaborations and partnerships that strengthen research efforts, improve data systems, and address emerging public health challenges in the UAE.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Master of Public Health, a graduate will be able to:
- PLO1 Assess public health challenges using evidence-based methodologies and effectively communicate findings and solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- PLO2 Evaluate the strengths and limitations of health systems using established frameworks and ethical principles.
