Dr. Peter Rodgers is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE and brings to these positions twenty six years of academic and industrial experience. His present research interests are focused on the development of polymer composite heat exchangers, atmospheric dispersion modeling, and energy-efficiency enhancement in the oil and gas industry.
He also has extensive research experience in electronics thermal management, prognostics and health management (PHM), and solid particle transport in fluids. He has published over 110 journal and conference research papers and is recipient of several research and service awards.
Dr. Rodgers has served as an invited lecturer, keynote speaker, panelist, and session chair at a number of international conferences. He is presently an associate technical editor and editor-in-chief (September edition) of Electronics Cooling. He recently served as the SEMI-THERM Conferences Vice-Program (2013), Program (2014) and General (2015) Chairs, and has been the Thermal Track Chair for the EuroSimE conference since 2003. Dr. Rodgers is a member of several other international conference program committees focused on energy technologies and thermal phenomena in electronic systems. He has also served as a technical grant reviewer for a number of governmental bodies.
