Dr. Theodore (Ted) Burkett is the Director of the General Education Unit at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. He has more than 25 years of experience teaching EAP and academic writing in Istanbul and Abu Dhabi. His research interests include language testing, the use of frequency-based word lists, culture gaps in the language classroom and technology in language teaching.
